It allows for a smooth silky finish and is completely free of resins. Extremes in temperature and moisture do not shrink, swell or warp the timber. Its unique cellular structure makes for high insulation efficiency against heat, cold and noise. The pleasant aroma of the wood actually repels moth, vermin and insects. Fibres are saturated with a natural preservative oil which renders virtual immunity to decay even without the use of artificial preservatives.
